MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman David Hann issued the following statement about the success of Republican-endorsed candidates in Tuesday’s election:
“The election results show that voters are tired of the failed education policies of the Minnesota Democrats. Whether it be the record-low test scores, plummeting graduation rates, or the widening achievement gap, Minnesotans have had enough. Instead of ensuring students receive the quality education they deserve, Minnesota Democrats have focused on politicized school boards for decades by propping up their teacher-union allies.
The success of Republican-endorsed candidates across Minnesota yesterday – particularly in key metro areas like Blaine, Minnetonka, Wayzata, and Woodbury – sends a clear message that voters want parental involvement in schools and a focus on academic achievement rather than divisive social issues and politicized instruction.”
