Minneapolis, MN – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman David Hann issued the following statement on Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarity’s Anti-Law Enforcement Agenda:

“Today’s decision by DFL-endorsed Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty to file criminal charges against a state trooper is another example of the Minnesota DFL’s anti-law enforcement agenda.

The Minnesota DFL’s public safety approach always focuses more on hostility towards law enforcement than on punishing criminals. 

Prominent elected officials endorsed by the Minnesota DFL – including Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and Attorney General Keith Ellison – strongly supported efforts to dismantle the police department in Minnesota’s largest city, highlighting an ongoing record of the Minnesota DFL’s anti-law enforcement policy agenda. 

The Republican Party of Minnesota strongly supports our law enforcement officers and urges an unbiased review of DFL-endorsed Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarity’s actions in this case.”
